Hubby has sucessfully claimed £900 from mbna(earlier post) as there is no balance on the card they are sending a cheque for the money owed.....anyone any idea how long this gets processed? it has been nearly a week since being told on the phone they were repaying.

Is it possible that banks are the same as most big companies & do a bacs/cheque run at a set time each month eg 3rd last banking day? I know they will process things like this every day but perhaps the lump non urgent (in their eyes) stuff to a set day?

I also received confirmation of payment last week from MBNA. Not sure - I am hopeful that they will send it within the next 2 weeks. Or could you call them?

You could call them but if you think about it yours is but one of millions of similar situations they are dealing with which is why the process takes so long. It's only been a week...normal timescales for most lenders seem to be about a month.
