'LOT' mobile auctions.

I see alot of auctions selling large bulks of mobiles e.g. '50 phones, 8800, N70' and so on. Are these real? It does look kinda dodgy but they manage to keep their 100% feedback.

I dont really know how they work. Do they really go wharehouses, bailiff auctions etc etc to buy the phones 'for upto 80% off high st. prices'?

I don't know alot about these, so, to many of you I may look stupid asking this question.

Lets me know. Thanks,

    Hmm

I dont know about all of them, but check what previous items have been sold, if there are non like it, then i suspect teh account has been hijacked
(when my dads account got stolen, he had loads of mobile phones and powerbooks listed on his account)

they normally listed with the most expensive options, i,e purple, top of each page, and will normally say "contact me for even cheaper deals" etc, or listed in dollars, or something, In hope that people do so, pay money, and they run off. (and dont have to pay ebay fees)

But then again, there are probably genuine ones out there to :-/

    I personally, steer clear tho

    Any other expereinces out there?

Thanks for the reply. This guy I saw says his messeging facility doesn work, so, he gave his personal e-mail.

I dont think the accounts are hi jacked, there are quite a few people putting these types of auctions up.

    Thanks for the reply.

oh no you're not thinking of buying more phones are you?

I would stay away from these types of auctions if I were you.

haha, im not even lying, I knew either you or soolin were gonna say something along those lines.

It's just that I come across these auctions quite a low, just curious and wanted to get a better idea of how they get the phones (If they ever do in the first place) and where form.

    Thanks.

Well we have to look out for you :)

If you're serious about selling, why don't you find a decent wholesaler?

Saying not to contact through Ebay messaging and giving an email means the account is hijacked.

Ok, as you know the accunt is'nt mine its my sisters, so, everything goes through her and when I usually say 'I am selling this' 'buying that' etc etc, it means my sister is FOR ME.

So, other than eBay I can't really make use of wholesalers, I know of this one site whereby you join and pay a yearly fee and they get you in touch with some top wholesalers, or something like that. Any reccomendations?

Finally, before I go to bed, as I'm a full time student, I dont have much spare time, just occasionally. So, can you let me know on your experience if any and how I or a family member can get in touch with these wholesalers. Never really delt with any before.

    Thanks razorbladekisses.

Definately don't pay to obtain a list of wholesalers. If you do some research you on the net you can find wholesalers without having to pay.

I thought students had lots of free time lol :)

I know Juno has already said this but I am going to say it again ...this statement "This guy I saw says his messeging facility doesn work, so, he gave his personal e-mail." is basically telling you that this is a hijacked account.

I cannot see any link between your two statements that 'quite a few people are doing this' and 'it isn't a hi jacked account' except wishful thinking.

I have sons around your age Moe and am desperately trying to show them how to avoid being caught. Like you they are always looking for ways of making money and it is unfortunate that sometimes needing money so badly can blind you to the obvious con.
