My week has gone downhill like mad, I started the week with £30 in my purse and I've ended up spending it all and needing to go to the bank again, without even really going out or buying anything useful. :( Taxis to work and buying food in my lunch hour are my downfall. Hopefully I'll do better over the weekend as I don't need to leave the house and therefore shouldn't spend anything!

I could have had two more nsds this week if not for the chap coming round to service the fire extinguishers & today, paying my share of me muvva's b'day prezzie hrrumph  That's the problem with poor communication twix joint gift-givers--have to wait till everyone agrees & in MY family, that usually involves a UN Peace Keeping Task Force!

I thought this month would be tricky :embarasse but hoping it will reignite the [booming voice & loads of echo, Gladiators announcer style :p] Spaarrrrrk ovvv Cha---llennnnnge! The last few were surprisingly achievable & I think I have become a tad complacent--not good in the Fight Against Finance--so ultimately it will serve to shake my reverie.Still got to pay for mum's cake; perhaps I'll do that today too  to avoid a possible slip up next week-end &
recoup some ground for later in the month.

Don't forget folks--always on the look-out for tips on how to not spend money. [I was going to say not spend a penny, but that is taking the ....!:rotfl:]

  • This thread certainly helps me to keep on track (and everyone is lovely!). I didn't have a NSD yesterday because I needed to get a few bits, but hopefully back on track for NSD no 4 today, which would be nice. Will update later.

    Have a good day, all.

    Hya Folks

Managed a few personal NSDs as was in hospital for first 5 days of October. Unfortunately, DH did a few unauthourised shops...mainly for grapes for me, so he is allowed! He did manage 2 NSDs and since I came out we have managed 2 further NSDs.

Yesterday would have been an NSD, but I did some online Christmas shopping from I Want One Of Those, a VEERRRY dangerous place that! I got a few pressies (9 for less than £50), and the majoritiy of the rest I will make. At least that is the plan!

DH brought me home some flowers last night as it was our 26th Wedding Anniversary. We ate at home with DS2 as I am still a bit fragile in the stomach department, so no meal out. We were supposed to be going to the Grand Designs show at the NEC today - our Anniversary treat, but that has gone out of the window, a great shame that. Hopefully we will manage a short trip out today. I need to get my new glasses fitted and I would like to go round the garden centre I used to work in (still get 10% discount - result!). Dad sent us some money, so I fancy getting a new bird table, the old one is kn*****ed. DH was going to make a new one, but I have been waiting 13 months so far, and Dad's money should cover it.

Right, off to get ready to go out, it is still sunny and want to get out before the rain comes.

Have a good weekend folks, and here's to more NSDs!

  • Hello all. Well today could've been a NSD but I ran out of fabric softener and needed more deodrant. N'mind eh? Tomorrow's out too, as I'm heading cinema to see Halloween 2. Will be worth it though. Maybe sunday will be one? ;)

  • I've managed 2 NSD's so far and hopefully my 3rd today if I manage not to spend any money on way home from work. Hopefully will have 1 NSD this weekend too!

    Good Luck everyone!
