    When I moved up here all of my friends thought it would be like living in the arctic. When really it is positively tropical compared to you!!

    I need to get my bum back in gear after letting things slip a bit lately:o
    I'm currently pregnant with my 2nd and a full time sahm so you might think i have all the time in the world to sort my finances, cook, clean etc... Wrong!!! My problem is i'm so unorganised at the moment and being pg has really given me the kick up the bum i need to get everything sorted in time for our new arrival.
    So today i have so far.....
    Rang and cancelled sky and getting virgin put in - saving £15 a month but loads more chanels

    Cancelled what i was led to believe to be a contract phone only to be told it was a rolling contract and i could of cancelled it ages ago:mad: - saving £10 a month

    Little un is 'helping' me to load the dishwasher and washing machine both to go on eco wash and clothes to be dryed inside

    Yay still no heating on and we havent even been tempted to turn it on yet. I've eventually converted OH to my mse ways, well almost he's a night owl and has xbox, ps3 on all night:rolleyes: oh well one step at a time

    I've just been donated a large pack of mince, mushrooms and some milk form my step dad who works away and never had chance to use them so i'm making a huge lasagne for tea

    Aarrgg ds has just trashed the front room while i've been typing this typical! Well i'm not gonna bother putting his toys away till later now no point coz he'll only get them out AGAIN

    Our boots has loads of fragrances reduced at the back of the shop for £5-£6 for hugo boss, calvin klien etc

    No idea if anyone's will be might be worth a look, looks liek they are sorting out old stock and putting up new stock - so it MIGHT be a nationwide thing? Also got a £5 off fragrance voucher with a code which can be used online as well....

    First day of new job today and a bit overwhelming with stuff I brought with me as well as taking on the new stuff. Still not got my outlook sorted but I can get on my old faithful sites now LOL

    Pay day today and am skint. Well cheesed of after checking all my sites etc to discover that my £4k pay increase means I am £11 worse off after reduction in tax credits!!!!

    Not done much else apart from apply for my expenses after trip to leeds for training course at 40p a mile

    Going shopping tonight and DD is getting a new phone so I will be ever so careful to keep the reign in LOL

    1. Checked online banking
    2. Set budget for this week
    3. Bought fruit/veg in Aldi and also picked up some lovely chocolates for christmas and some seeds to plant next year that were reduced to 99p with beetroot/spring onions and radish in.
    4. Applied successfully for a A&L current account, am using their switching service so will get £100 and £45 from quidco:j
    5. Play free scratchcards
    6. Walked dog
    7. Store cupboard meals

    Hope everyone is OK?

    On the last week countdown to the wedding - I'm strangely calm about it all, probably because I'm really busy with school.

    Anyway, my little list for today.....
    • Breakfast at home
    • Took packed lunch to school
    • Drove sensibly to try to conserve petrol
    • Making tea from stores
    • Checked banks - student loan has finally been paid - 4 weeks after I started uni!
    • Walked dog (in the dark this morning:mad:) an dthen taken him to park this afternoon for free exercise
    • Checked quidco
    • Checked bid on ebay on book needed for uni (£35 new, £7 at the moment on ebay)
    • Tidied kitchen
    • Moved student loan to other account and will "pay myself" monthly instead of leaving it in current account and blowing the lot!
    • Do some uni work tonight
    Can't think of much else for a Monday!

    Haven't posted for a while as have had some personal stuff going on but need to get back to "normality" so will make a start with the small stuff;)

    Bit of a whirlwind day at work today but have done a few dfw things I suppose
    • start posting on this thread again - thanks Milly:D
    • checked online accounts
    • moved some money across from savings to pay for new bathroom suite later in the week
    • cooked lunch for my oldies and ate for free
    • picked the final tomatoes and two cucumbers from the greenhouse
    • menu plan for week
    • update my £4000 challenge spreadsheets
    • one lot of laundry hokey cokey
    • little bit of ironing (lol, i know it's illegal but I like ironing :o)
    • must rummage in stockpile storecupboard and see if anything needs using up soonish
    • also need to rummage in pressie stash and see what pressies I bought at start of year for birthdays coming up soon in family
    • will visit mum later tonight and no doubt return wth more runner beans - every visitor leaves with a bag full lately :rotfl:
    • might start a batch of yoghurt off - haven't made any for a while:rolleyes:
    • have been sparkling (low wattage sparkle but the intention is there;))

  • Hi All,

    Pretty good day here only spent £9.00 on some essentials in Tesco.

    Checked recipt and ive now got £20 in points for Xmas or £80 in deals(will have to check them out)

    Got a phone call from the local shop offering me 2 evening shifts a week so
    thats extra money for the car and for Xmas and things.

    Hopefully that should make all the diffrence..
