SkyCard charges

in Credit cards
I got a SkyCard last October. On three occassions I have been charged a "FOREIGN TRANSACTION FEE" when I bought stuff from some UK websites like kodak.co.uk. I called up customer services and they said the payment on each occassion was processed abroad hence the fee. I told the person that according to the T&C I received with the card, there is a charge if a currency conversion takes place but this did not happen in my case as I was paying in £s and nowhere in the checkout stage I was told that a currency conversion is involved. I was promised a refund in the for the first two cases but this has not yet come through. I have since then been charged again for the same sort of thing. I want this resolved once and for good.
Thanks for all your help in the matter.

The Kodak T&C's clearly state...Payment for products purchased on the site shall be made to the operator of the KODAK Online Shop which is a Swiss company named Eastman KODAK SA. Any sale will therefore constitute an international transaction and as a consequence please note that your bank or credit card company may levy a charge for processing such a payment.
We would advise that you check with your bank or credit card company to see whether a charge would arise and how much it would be before you place your order. The KODAK Online Shop is not responsible for any bank charges or commission on international payments.

Sounds like everyone is a winner here..... except you.
Kodak save tax by processing the transaction in a tax haven with lower VAT outside the EU, and Sky benefit from being able to charge you an overseas usage fee.
Shame nobody thought about the customer when designing this setup eh!
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

I looked up the T&C for Skycard and they do not say anything about a "Coss Border Fee". The only fee stated for foreign transactions is if they are done in a foreign currency. Since the confirmations I have from Kodak and also from Pixmania are in pound sterlings I not see how they can justify this fee which is non-existing in the T&C.0

Very similar experience and again with Skycard was discussed in this thread: Surely they can't do this! ...0
