My daughter has been told by Halifax that her student overdraft is not being renewed this year ( it is her third year) we thought it was to last the full three years, how is she expected to pay it when she is still a student, she is now very worried.

I received a similar letter in March. When I called them asking why, I was told that I could have it renewed by speaking to staff at one of their branches. Guess they just wanted to check that I still needed it, etc.
They renewed and increased my overdraft when I spoke to them! They also said that I'd need to do this next year as well (maybe it's something new they've introduced?)
Anyway, call them tomorrow and check.

Nice to know they're telling people about this now. *has had lots of hoo-ha with Halifax for not telling her when the student account that they made her get ran out*
I'd ring them up and see what you can do - when I went in to see about mine they were very helpful and changed it no problem. You might have to get a letter from the university saying 'Jenny Smith [or whatever] is on X course until such a date' but that should be relatively simple."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
