We have had an offer accepted, mortgage confirmed and are now waiting for the solicitors to do all their checks before completing. What I'd like to know is, can we view the house again? The EA who I deal with is not particualry helpful, and I kind of think they probably won't want to use their time in coming to show us the house again. I want to see it because it feels like ages since we last saw it and I want to get an idea for fittings.

Of course you can, just ask. If they say no pull out of the sale, they can't expect you to have taken in everything from one visit. I spend longer choosing a pair of jeans!0

Thanks, I know you're right ... But I'm thinking that because I've agreed to the sale that the EA are only now interested in using their time to show other people other properties.0

Go knock on the door. They can only say no.0

If you mean to the house, it's empty
I might go to the estate agents though and see what they say.

I'd presume EA is earning at least £1k from the sale, possibly a good deal more. It would be amazing if they would jeopardise this in order to save an hour or two of their time. It's quite reasonable to view the place again after an offer has been accepted - you might want to measure for furniture or show it to a family member, for example.
If you asked for another viewing every week (generally not sensible!) EA might get annoyed. To be honest, though, I suspect they would still comply in order to allow the sale to go through...0 -
Thanks all. I will ask for another viewing - hoping I don't have to speak to the particulary annoying 1 in the EAs office
They are making well over 1K.0 -
the EA in my town has a very annoying one too! we didnt go with them because we worried it would put buyers off.
anyway, if its vacant, and you dont want to bother the EA and they dont want to be botherd, then could you suggest just borrowing the keys for an hour - perhaps say you're just measuring up each room for carpets and wallpaper (and planning colours so they dont fob you off with the brochure measurements) and i doubt the EA will want to come anyway! and then you'll have a nice look around without them looking over your shoulder too.Relax, Breathe, Love 2014 Challenges:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger 23. We were in a similar situation to the OP. The house we bought was a wreck so we needed to go in with work men to get quotes for work post completion. Oddly, the EA allowed the tradesmen keys to view the property but not us! Bizarre I know. We had a lovely neighbour with keys though which he let us have. A bit naughty as we didn't own the property at the point but it was only to enable to start work as soon as we completed.0
