standing orders.

Does anyone know how long a bank (Abbey) take to set up a standing order.
My daughter set on up on line 2 weeks ago on Monday to pay her board
but to start 5 days after the instruction.
Now 2 weeks later it still has not come out of her bank and obviously not into mine.
Are they likely to move the whole lot ie add up the weeks and if its 4 will they transfer it all or just transfer one week, the first week thay they have it sorted.
She is still paying me in cash but will go overdrawn if they take 2, 3 or 4 weeks altogether.

They won't pay them all together in one go. It seems that the standing order hasn't been set up - so sadly your daughter will have to go into a branch (much more advisable than phoning!)0

Abbey set up the standing order almost instantly on-line. If it is not visible something has gone wrong and it is not set up.0
