Lloyds TSB Platinum Account Travel Insurance

LloydsTSB now tell me that because they have changed underwriters to AXA I am no longer covered for pre existing conditions that I have previously been covered for through my monthly fee for my Platinum account with them.
LTSB are now asking for an extra £52.80 for these to be covered. Approximately the same as it would cost me for an annual policy else where including pre existing ailments.
I feel my contract is with LTSB not AXA and should not affect the original agreement.
I feel they just change the rules and close the goal posts to suit themselves.

  • You could downgrade the Platinum to a classic saving the monthly fee and get the insurance elsewhere.

Unfortunately there will always be a clause in any insurance policy that they can change underwriters - they have to give you notice of the change - they have done so - its now up to you.

They are doing you a favour by pricing you out as Axa are not good on travel claims
