chase them and get a reply to your offer - it shows that you were willing to give them something.
is there any chance of your OH getting another jon in the near future?
do you work? is there anywhere else you can cut down?
post your income and outgoings and there may be something that people on here can see that you can do that maybe isn't obvious to you.
try not to worry and I'm sure others will be along shortly to offer advice.DON'T WORRY BE HAPPY

HAve you done an SOA before? If you havent, do stick one up and lets see if we can find you some spare money for ge money asap. look at the sticky, first time posters by southern scouser about SOAs what they are for & how to do one.
I dont know about court though, sorry,

Welcome
First of all you sound like you typed this in full panic mode. So take a deep breath, have a coffee or whatever, and calm down. You will not be able to make decisions if you are panicing
First of all, how much is the debt.
If you can post a Statement of Affairs, we may be able to point out some savings, to help the situation.
Secondly write them a letter enclosing a £1 coin offering this as token payment for the first month you are owing. Explain your circumstances again. A different person reading your letter, may see things differently and stop the court stuff, now that you have made a monetary offer.
Once you have done your SOA, and put it up here, take a print out of it too, and ring your local CAB first thing on Monday. They are very good about doing debt management, and can help you with letters to creditors etc. Also if you have to wait for an appointment, you can still write to your creditors, and say you are seeking help from the CAB, and this also may give them pause.
Hope this helps. Remember there is ALWAYS a way out of this.

Can u speak to your local CAB ASAP.
Basically at the mo your priorities are your mortgage and your secured borrowings
Is there any liklihood of increased income from anywhere?
DO NOT agree to payments you cannot afford

Jeanette thanks for this, this is pretty much it.
Could you tell us what the APRs are on these cards?
Is your OHs oncome brought in with the IS?
This seems very tight to me indeed, as you havent added in your mortgage, or any insurances that you have?
You are both on JSA, you can work I believe 16 hours under your JSA although I dont know what happens to your tax credits. https://www.entitledto.co.uk should be able to help you see if you are due any more.
Do you have a worker at the jobcentre that helps you look for work. there are lots of alternative schemes that can help and also give you bus fares, clothese allowance to help you get back to work as well, although I dont know where in the UK you are.
How much are the cards debt? Per card? eg capital one what do you owe?
If we knew the APrs we could look if maybe you are paying slightly too much to one and not to another, called snowballing. this means your highest APR debts are paid off first & the cheapest debt paid off last.
you also say theres "other loan arrears" but dont mention what this loan is how much the payments are, how much you owe.
If you are paying 15 a week for phones, thats over 60 a month, and i guarantee you can get what youve got for less.
One of the probs I think is happening is you have income weekly, but have to pay things monthly. What would be best is if you re-do your SOA check out southernscousers sticky first time posters or martins budget planner at the top of the page, and this will help things be a bit more clear for you to work with.
However, things do look really tight, and Im sure someone will be able to offer more about whether a DMP might be something you should consider.
Hugs

Jeanette,
I second what beanielou says. Also, there are obvious bills missing - like the mortgage, as well as the arrears, house insurance, maybe others.
You need some help to freeze repayments and maybe interest until one of you in back in employment. The CAB is a great place to start.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
owe cap one £2200.00
mortgage and personal bank loan frozen for few months until hubby goes to tribruanal for unfair dismal case dont know aprs on cards will try to find out though ,phone high cos OHwas long distance wagon driver rang each other alot just paying back bills .waiting on answer from national debt place cos only got internet now phone on reduced service (no out going calls our request)paid insurances 5 months in front when he lost his job so we knew we were covered for those just thought loanguards would have covered gemoney but they turned us down .tried CAB but never get answer0 -
Jeanette if CAB are not answering why not try CCCS. We have a DMP thro them and they have been really helpful. You do have to wait on line a wee while to get thro but they will give you an appointment. They negotiated with all of our creditors and have taken weight of our shoulders.0
