Rung company and told them. This can't go on IMO

Ba-humbug, flame me all you like... but this was silly.

At the end of the day the company has the legal right to cancel these orders anyway. I`m sure they will. But on the other hand they might decide to honour some as a questure of goodwill (particularly for those folks who used the voucher, AND spent an extra 20 quid or so).

Why spoil all the fun of waiting to see?

We must ensure that the people who are entitled to the voucher are still able to obtain it, so a workaround had to be decided upon and executed.

Anyone concerned about their details being held on our system may find the following information helpful:

Thank you for the reply, but no it doesn't help.

My question was/is "when you cancel orders will you assure people you will remove their details from your database if required?"

I agree, my concern is more with people's information being held following an abortive attempt to use these vouchers. If Figleaves are not prepared to honour the vouchers then they should be responsible enough to assure customers that they will remove all details from their database if required.

It was getting silly, folks getting 80 vouchers etc (admittedly said person says only 17 were unique) but even so this type of behaviour is not in the spirit of the MSE site IMHO.

i did place an order with the voucher, but only used one and spent an additional £17 on top. This site is for legimate money saving not for the recent increase in freeloaders on here who abuse the system and then most probably sell their goods on ebay for a profit!!!!

Why would you want to do that? What was your reward for telling them? Seven pieces of silver perhaps

I placed one order last night for myself but ordered the wrong size, I e-mailed right away asking them to ammend before shipping, and had and e-mail this morning confirming it was/would be done. So looks like so far they are honouring some orders.
My daughter also placed and order and did the same size thing - also e-mailed but has not had a response :( i'm hoping they don't think we're the same person pulling a swifty and she looses out.

I would like to place and order (and get a catalogue) for mum (she doesn't have pc access) but was to late to call her last night and see what she wanted so....when previous post says

"We must ensure that the people who are entitled to the voucher are still able to obtain it, so a workaround had to be decided upon and executed."

so what's the workaround? how do those of us who are entitled get the voucher?
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

If it was your company, would you be happy people abusing your system!!

this topic has had over 7000 views, assuming on average every one used two codes, thats a £280,000 loss to this company

im not sure any company can withstand such a loss, are you happy with the possibility of people loosing their jobs and livleyhoods, i hope NOT!!!
  • I don't mind the orders being cancelled as long as they don't charge my card!

    Do you reckon its likely?
