Oven doesn't want to play

My fan assisted oven + grill (Electrolux EOB 944) worked fine last night. This evening we turned it to the oven setting but the oven light doesn't come on, nor does the fan and it's not heating up. The light for the temperature control does click (as normal) and comes on. The ignition for the stove top is fine as is the digital clock.
What could be the problem? Is it the thermal cut out, element, fan or a combination of the three? Can I buy and fit these myself?
Please help! There are four of including 2 young kids so it'll be hard getting through the next week without a cooker. It's not under warranty as it was in the house when we moved in two years ago.

I'd try the UK white goods forum. You could try contacting electrolux but they will likely send you a service engineer from ServiceForce that's going to cost you not being under warranty.

Thanks Andy. The suggestions in that post are beyond me so I'll just have to get someone out to look at it. Hopefully not from Electrolux though...0

are you sure its on manual and not automatic, worth checking
I said this to my friend one day while i was there and she was in the process
of talking to an electrician and i fiddled with the switch and hey presto, the oven came on. Might just just be as simple as that.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
I agree with above, if fan, grill and oven not working ( it would be very unlikely that all three have suddenly gone faulty) check you not knocked it onto auto-it happens a lot!0
