Does anybody how long before departure you have to check in with Delta?
We are flying from Manchester to Atlanta.
The only info I can find on their website is 60mins
But isn't it usually 3 hours?
Thanks

2+ hrs. You never know how long the line will be at security and check-in so give yourself plenty of time so you don't go rushing around like a chicken without a head

Agree with Nordictat...but Delta's website actually says:
If traveling outside the United States, you must be checked in ...60 minutes before your scheduled departure time.
The key there is 'checked in'...not 'arriving at the airport to check in'.
we normally arrive 2 - 2 1/2 hours early...I absolutely hate to feel rushed and totally stress if we are rushing around so while we normally end up having loads of time to spare I'd rather that than running for the gate.
We arrived about 2 hours and 10 minutes before our flight from LHR to ORD on Friday and breezed through check-in as there was very little queue at the time, had time to grab breakfast at Pret before going through security, bit of duty free shopping, picked up water and magazines, headed to the gate and had about 20 minutes before we started boarding. Nice and gentle.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
