Student bank account during 'year out'

I have a Student current account with the co-op, which I've had for 18 months. I've managed it well, and I have an overdraft entitlement of £1400. I think the most I've been overdrawn is £500 though.
I'm taking a 'year out' this year and working. I'm currently £250 overdrawn. Do I lose my overdraft entitlement for the duration of a year out, and revert to a current account, or can I keep it? ( I don't want to go £1400 overdrawn, but some overdraft would be useful, at least until Xmas)
Do I have to reapply for a student account next September, or do I just keep the account as it is?
Are they likely to take my overdraft facility off me the second I tell them I'm taking a year out (not done so yet)
In short, how do I best play this?

You'll need to tell Co-op that you're having a year out else, if your degree is normally three years, they'll change your account after three years assuming you will have finished your course.
If you're working for the year I don't imagine they'd have any qualms with you keeping your overdraft. Give them a call and ask.0 -

Sure. I've every intention of telling them. Officially I don't start my 'year out' until tomorrow......it was a late decision for various personal reasons.....0
