Out of date pastry.........

I have some puff pastry in the fridge dated 23 Sept - will it still be Ok to use and if not how would I know?

I had some of them a while ago about 10 months out of date - got em for the kids but tried using them and the pastry tasted really stale.

Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
