Selling and posting through classifieds - paypal query

I've recently switched from eBay to classifieds. Basicalyl using free ads to advertise and cut out the middle man, still using eBay but want to trial the effectiveness of other outlets. Anyway,
I'm on the verge of making my first sale and the buyer would like to pay via paypal as I offered to post prividing they cover the p+p, which we've agreed.
My query is how does paypal protect a seller under these circumstances? Is it the same as using eBay or, as it's simply a case of someone sending me money and then me posting them the item, different?
If I go through with the transaction, I'll be sending the item via courier, fully recorded and insured. I'll cover all the basics, checking the buyer is verifed, legitimate address and any other info I can pull up on them. I like to be thorough so i'll even google any of their info to see if anything negative is pulled up anywhere. I'll catelogue the transaction in full using pictures and video from packing to sending and document all correspondance. Probably ott but I always do this and I'd like to think the fact it would be fully tracked and recorded when sent would be enough info, for paypal, should they try to claim their money back afterwards.
If that's the case, will my protection be the same as it would be selling through eBay or is there anything else I should be concerned about. Obviously as the seller I'm only worried about my (seller) protection, as I know I'm not about to rip the guy off.

First guy turned out to be a scammer. First thing I checked brought up various results. Once I had linked in the word "Nigeria" that was that. Still interested in what I'm asking above though.0

I think the only difference will be that buyers can't open SNAD disputes off eBay.My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0
