Free use abroad

I'm looking for a new CC that I can use this Xmas in the caribbean or on an american cruise line next summer.
Nationwide used to be free, it's not now.
Is there a free one out there still ?.

yeah there are, there is abbey zero and the post office.

however nationwide only charge 1% so is still considerably less than others if you dont have time to get a new card (post office was quicker in the aplication process, got my card less than a week after applying

I did the Abbey one on line last weekend, they Credit checked me on Wednesday & I got the application documents with the provisional 'yes' on Saturday, sent them back the same day so hopefully the card should turn up later this week.

I think 2 weeks is very good considering the recent problems by others on this sight. I moved from Nationwide for the same reasons.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!
