Ebay non payers- here have a laugh at this original excuse

No matter how new or old , uhmm, you are to ebay the non payers and there excuses never fails to amaze me. Firstily Im amazed that they waste their time bidding on items they dont want, getting themselves bad reps and strikes. Seconily it amazes me at their lack or resposability, there " it wasnt me a bad man did it and ran away " approach.
Here is my latest non payer, who after 7 days of no communication at all suddenly remembered where the response button was on their ebay page when I issued them with a non payer strike process.Suddenily, within minutes they responded, here was their response ( beware you might have heard or seen this response before. Also if the grammer police are out- im sorry it is a cut and paste..)
However unfortunately I have had to respond
" of course I understand. Unfortunately my cat logged on ( it has learned my password by watching me.) to my ebay account and issued you with a strike and a neg, along with horrid comments. Making your account a -1.Please accept my apologys for my naughty cat , and it wont happen again."
Please feel fair to share your disgust for the non payers, poor excuse brigade- ohh ebay would be lovely without them !! Have a good day all

Of course I believe them, what an original excuse and of course I forgive them for waiting 7 days with no payment,no contact, my auction wrecked. I forgive them for the people who truely wanted the item but were outbidded by them in the last minutes. And I forgive them for the re listing I will now need to do - NOT!! I also " forgive " them for using the first excuse I ever heard for non payment- and for hearing it a thousand times ever since.i am very very sorry about this i i never bided for it one of my younger
sibling bided for your item as my account was signed on i very sorry and
understand the onconveinience, i am very sorry and promise you it wont
happen in the future please accept my apology
thank you

V. amusing. Is your cat the one in your avatar? Because he doesn't look alert enough to figure out your login info!'Everyone loves to read but it can be a real nuisance when you lose your place. Here's a solution. When you finish reading a page, just tear it out. You'll save money on bookmarks too!' -- Amanda's Handy Hints, Amanda Keller. :cool:0

If I had a pound for every one who claimed their baby, cat or dead aunt (I saw that one on the unmoderated boards) bid I would be rich.
I just say how sorry I am that I must complete the NPB process to reclaim my fees, and then let their baby, cat or dead aunt worry about the strike on their account. I would never ever consider doing a mutual and risk them mucking that up as well.

Don't think ebay are strict enough about non-paying bidders - you leave them negative feedback and you get it in return, you can block them yourself, but you can only block other non-paying bidders if they have had two strikes in the past month, so they can wait a month and start bidding again. It's amazing how many non-paying bidders don't respond to emails until the "non-paying bidder" process is started and then the excuses start rolling!0
