Changing OU courses

I've just started the 4th week of a new OU course, and I hate it, it's very difficult and tbh not what I expected. With one thing and another I've only just in the past week started doing work for it (have had a previous course to finish off and my kids have been ill).

I want to phone up tomorrow and ask to be taken off the course. I also want to cancel the course I have lined up for February, as I've had a bit of an epiphany and want to change subjects completely. Will I be allowed to do this?

The course I want to change to is still open for registration until the 2nd of Oct but apparently only if you can pay in full by card? Do you think they'll let me register on it because I will have more than enough funding after I've cancelled the courses I'm meant to be doing?

This is what the OU website says about wanting to cancel your course.

    Refund policy
The percentage of your course fee that we will refund to you on your withdrawal will depend on the date of your cancellation, the level of your course and whether you are a new or continuing student. Full details of the refund policy can be found in Part 2 of the Conditions of Registration. If you do not have a copy of this publication it can be found at https://www.open.ac.uk/our-student-policies.

I've tried looking at that link but can't find anything else to do with it. I'm a bit worried about cancelling without having another course that starts straight away, because I've already had my study grant
  • Can I ask what course it is?

it's the World Archaeology course....flaming awful it was lol.

I've sorted it this morning, am doing a 10 point Shakespeare course and then in Feb am doing the Approaching Literature course.

Now I've just got to do my ECA for the AA100 that has to be in on Thursday
