Help finding Tenerife holiday in July please!

Options
Me and the OH are wanting to go to Tenerife (Playa De Las Americas if possible but we're open). We work for the same company and the only time we can get off is 2 weeks from Mon 24th July (so we'd like to fly on the 22nd, 23rd or 24th, 25th at a push).

We're looking for 7 days and have £350 each to spend, but because of the time of year we can't find a 4* at less than £450 (which we'd rather not spend unless we really really have to).

I've never been to Tenerife before, he has, but with his family staying at 5* places like Costa Adeje Gran (waaay too expensive in July!)

Obviously we're scouring teletext! But does anyone have any other helpful hints?

I can find 4* s/c for your budget but struggling with HB
There is the Aguamarina Golf 4*+ that works out to 732 for the both of you thats HB but its not PDLA also the Iberostar Las Dalias for 793 thats in Costa Adeje
both based on a GATWICK FLIGHT ON THE 23RD FOR 8 NIGHTS
    Flight
349 for both of you with https://www.xl.com divers code for 15pp off (inc)
    hotels with https://www.medhotels.com
but you still have to add transfers

I would book that flgiht and try for the hotel ...theres nothign else anywhere near the price for the flight
If you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel

  • You can definitely get 4* HB under budget, but only if you're willing to sacrifice your location.

Plenty of 4* SC around like saveapenny says

Sorry I'm daft I should have put that! Leeds Bradford, or Manchester :)

Thanks for all your help so far guys; I've never been abroad before and I'm 23, so I'm very inexperienced with booking etc!

Hope you like it really hot. Tenerife is baking in July and hotel rooms with air-conditioning are few and far between.

  • Need to know a little bit more info to help properly tbh....

Do you want HB or SC (or are you happy with either but would go for HB if it was in budget?) Or would you stretch your budget to £400 each for HB?

Does it HAVE to be Playa de las Americas? Do you want a lively holiday or a relaxing one?

  • Found this one:

Location: Golf Del Sur (So it's a bit out of the way and only a pebble beach)
    Hotel Name: Aguamarina Golf
    Star Rating: ****
    Board Basis: HB

    Flights:
    Manchester > Tenerife
    Dep: 21st July @ 21.30
    Arr: 02.00

    Tenerife > Manchester
    Dep: 29th July 07.00
    Arr: 11.00

Seems like a hotel more for relaxing than lively holidays due to location
Does have a free shuttle bus into PDLA (3 times a day I think)

    Accom:

All rooms include complete bathroom, hairdryer, air-conditioning, direct dial phone / 220v, satellite TV, safety deposit box (at local rate) and a mini bar (at local rate).

    Sports Leisure:

The hotel has a number of leisure facilities including 1 heated exterior swimming pool, 1 heated indoor swimming pool, 1 children s pool, sun chairs, umbrellas (free), towels (free) and a beach club (with a sea water pool), tennis court, paddle (free), table tennis (free), putting green, gym, billiards(at a charge), solarium, sauna / massage (at a charge) and two golf courses next to Aguamarina - Golf del Sur (about 20 min walking) and Amarilla Golf (about 5 min in car). For both of these courses it is possible to book and pay locally at the hotel. The hotel also offers daily and nightly entertainment.

    Total Price: £740.98

  • Also this one:

Location: Costa Adeje (Apparently about 750m from PDLA)
    Hotel Name: Iberostar Las Dalias
    Star Rating: ****
    Board Basis: HB

    Flights:
    Manchester > Tenerife
    Dep: 21st July @ 21.30
    Arr: 02.00

    Tenerife > Manchester
    Dep: 29th July 07.00
    Arr: 11.00

"This hotel is situated in the south of the island of Tenerife, in Costa Adeje, approximately 500 m. from a fine sandy beach, near the San Eugenio shopping centre and approximately 750m from the centre of Playa de las Americas."

    Accom:

    Standard Facilities + Air Con

    Total Price: £792.89
