Reclaim Bank and Credit Card Charges

There is a very useful article on the Motley Fool this week advising how to reclaim any charges that you may have been hit with from your bank or credit card. I don't know if this has been covered before - I did a search but didn't find anything.
Looks worth trying - there is a sample letter as well to make it very easy. I'm gonna give it a go.
Thought I'd share it with you all in case you hadn't seen it. Click the link for the article.

Of cause you can just think about it first... why is your signature on a piece of paper saying you agree to the T&Cs including fees if you are now disputing them. What do you think the ultimate outcome will be? Banks making less profit or.... higher interest rates on credit/ lower interest on savings/ borderline credit cases now being declined instead of accepted?

Personally I think it will be option 2 - better get all those 0% offers done now before the moaners get them stopped :)

Would you by any chance be a bank employee??

Do they also explain how to pay off a large credit card bill if the lender then recalls the debt as they have a perfect right to do? Or do they also suggest jumping up and down shouting "punitive unproportional charges" to that too?

I have to wonder how much searching you did - this topic is rather well covered in the Budgeting and Current Accounts section;)

As you will see from my profile, I do work for the insurance division of a bank - but my opinions on here are purely my own. If you look at some of my posts you will see that I do criticise the actions of banks/ insurers (in general rather than any particular company) when I disagree with them.
