Get a dog. let it poo in the cat owners garden.

When they moan simply explain: Their cat poo stops your dog poo will stop.
Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.
  • I had no idea Sulphur Dioxide was used as a preservative - I thought it was something that volcanoes produced (if you ever go to Italy, go to a place called Solfatara... it smells eggy!)

I guess I should read labels more closely, anyway!

Sulphur Dioxide is a by product of burning fossil fuels too, Refinaries try to take as much sulphur out of Fuel as its one of the main sources for your acid rain.

It's not a commercially available 'sauce' that causes problems its the incorrectly cooked 'meat' or bad storage of the finished product.

As to leaving a 'potential' hazard outside for the local wild-life or free roaming pets to eat, a bit of a no-no as far as animal welfare is concerned. If the cat did have problems 'and' it can be traced back to your actions then the owner could possibly sue you or the local RSPCA/Animal Welfare could take you to court.

There are other means of riddding your garden of unwanted 'visitors'

Oh. Thats Ok then I will just keep letting my kids play it. I don't suppose it would be worth trying to trace the the cats owner and suing them? Any lawyers out there? and do I have a case?
  • I am not a lawyer.

If the cat were on a lead attached to the owner they have the responsibility to 'make a reasonable effort' to pick up any poo it produces because they know the pet has done it, just like if someone takes their dog out for a walk, but the owner of a cat generally has no way of knowing where it does it's business.

You own or rent your house, you have the responsibility to make it safe for your children and anyone else who visits your property, if your children get sick from playing with cat mess that you knew was there it is your negligence and yes in theory you could be visited by social services and cautioned for it although it is unlikely.

Unfortunately you just have to put up with the cat mess, or try smelly deterrents as others have suggested.

DO NOT US BLEACH or another amonia based cleaners, you will only make them do it more.
The law treats cats like livestock, such as cows and sheep, you don't have direct control over these animals either, but you are required to clean up their poop too, if you know they have done it.

Jayes fluid works great. doesn't even have to be that strong.

If it is the same recipe as when I had it I can recommend it, it needs some veg and or meat as well as rice to bulk it out a bit but it tastes fine. A bit too spicy for me (but then I'm a wimp) so I used to add milk to it to calm it down a bit.

    .

Interesting. I find it bland compared to the Tescos version. I had to add extra spices and curry powders to it.
