Hi, i am looking for a couple of cctv cameras for my house, aldis have got some at the moment in their thursday 24 september special offers, they are black and white pir's, but i dont know if there any good. Has anyone bought any and tried them. Or does anyone know of a cheap good quality system. I would ideally like a system that would record on a video recorder when movement is sensed. Thanks

Wire up night vision network cams, they will be best. Ebay is good place to buy.Kind Regards

I got mine from argos a few years back, its okay for up close (i.e. who is at the door) but far away its fairly poor - its a micromark and always did the job for me - depends what you need I suppose!0

I know nothing about these CCTV cameras. Would this be ok to use at dusk/night?
And do I need a TV or screen to plug it into... Where does the video record to?
Sorry for all the questions.

At a minimum of 3 Lux its not the best camera for viewing at night. Where I work we have night camera's of minimum of 0.5 lux.
With this package you are just getting a camera + reciever. You will need to plug it into a DVR/VHS recorder then connect to a tv screen for playback.
What are you actually needing the camera for? If your wanting it for external security your better off with a larger camera which will act as a visible deterrent. Why buy when you can win!
