Sending £200k to Poland - how best

I realise this may not be the best board,

I have been tasked with finding the best way of sending 200k to Poland from a house sale here so they can buy in Poland.

Any ideas?

A bank transfer should do the trick, I send money to my french account all the time and its just the exchange rate that stings me, but even then its not that bad.

Look at the forward exchange rates if saving money is very important. Judging by http://www.exchange-rates.org/history/PLN/GBP/G the £ is still falling off the cliff so you might want to do it sharpish. You will need the SWIFT and probably the IBAN number of the beneficiary account as well as their name.

Don't forget to ask about the bank charges just for sending the transfer - they probably won't send the money on your behalf for free. When I worked as a legal cashier the charges depended on how much was being sent and the charges were capped at a maximum of £40 (which I think was a bit steep!).
