Scary pants of an husband is refusing to use it but then again I refuse to fly
Still time to work on him yet
If you don't use it, at least go to the visitor centre and admire it. There are no refreshment facilities there (yet!) but there's a supermarket down the hill with restaurant attached, I believe.
Mind you, if I were in your position and navigating, I might just conveniently fail to direct him off the A75 in time ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
I've had a lot of fun spotting the Millau bridge on my frequent Ryanair
flights to Girona this Winter.
It really is a magnificent sight, even from eight miles high, and a good
reason to bag a seat on the left hand side of the aircraft.
It's only been pointed out by one pilot in all the trips I've been on.
You'll need to keep your eyes open after passing Clermont Ferrand
and what seems like the end of the snows of the Massif.
Absolutely stunning, and if you arrive at Barcelona Airport, Sir Norman
designed that too!
I'm looking for an excuse to drive down later this year, just to drive over it.0 -

I spotted it last month on my way to Girona too, as you say, really impressive! But then, so was Girona, I wish I managed to go there frequently...how do you manage it?0 -
Savvy_Sue wrote:Just back, and it was super, although I would suggest that February is not really the month to go ... not that I'd recommend high summer either as I think the area will be packed! I found the bridge totally awe inspiring - how can anyone conceive of doing it the way they did? And we also upheld the proud tradition of English lunacy by go-karting and quad biking while the snow fell gently around us, and getting our car stuck in the snow the next day
when we tried to drive up a steep track to a car park to see the wolves. Seem to have brought the cold weather back with us as well ...
I'm delighted it was everything you wanted it to be Savvy_Sue and you have now confirmed to me that you are actually completely bonkersBlah0
