Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere to eat near her majestys theatre? We're all adults (some would say!) and have pretty simple tastes. We're trying to do this on a budget and on a saturday at about 6pm...any help greatfully recieved!

Personally I like some of the chinese resaurants in or around china town .

There is also quite a range of eateries stretching around Soho and Greek street.

There are various chain places in and around Covent Garden/on the walk up Long Acre from Charing Cross station (Pizza Express, Spaghetti House, Wagamama, Wahaca etc).

Alternatively, Mildred's in Soho is nice, although as it's a vegetarian restaurant it may not be the best bet if your party are all committed carnivores...

Also, Multimap has a function where you can type in the postcode of where you want to go and it will show you restaurants in the area - there are 206 hits for the postcode for Her Majesty's (SW1Y 4QL).

There is a strada on Panton Street, which is just up haymarket a little way from her maj's theatre. They often have vouchers - but not at the moment it seems, and they are often only valid on weekdays anyway.
Wagamama's on Norris st. (again just little way up haymarket), there's a pizza express around there too I think.

Give fire and stone a try (pizza restaurant) just on 31/32 Maiden Lane, near covent garden!

Also would second the china town recommendation!
