Transfers Gerona to Calella

Anyone out there know the cheapest way to get from Gerona Airport to Calella? We're a group of 9 girls jetting out for a weekend in October so we need the quickest and cheapest way to get there .... ta!

  • I'm not sure about Calella but if it helps we flew to Girona in May and had to get to Platja d'aro on the Costa Dorada - it took about 45 mins and cost €45 for 4 of us. There is a well organised rank outside the airport and on some of the lamposts there are boards up giving the prices of taxi/minibus to various resorts.

Very friendly, the taxis have meters and we had no problems.

There are 2 Calella's one 45min away another 1hr+ away so dont know which one you are going to. Try www.resorthoppa.com to the closest resort they off a Shared Shuttle at £21 each return or Private Minibus (max 16 people) at £385 all return.

Thanks for your useful post - you mention minibuses at Gerona Airport - do ya think they would take 9 people? Any idea at all ballpark figure for transfer to Calella? No probs if you don't know.

Thanks for your reply - i already bin to this link but we arrive Gerona at 9.30am so we would miss the first bus and the next would be at 1300 hours with 1'20" journey - so would be missing valueable drinking time!!!! Thanks anyhow - best regards to u

Thanks for your reply - I just checked out resorthoppa.com and they look pretty reasonable for a shared shuttle - may well consider them. Thanks again
