If it's a Saturday I doubt they'll be flexible-if it's another day of the week maybe you'd have more chance as they won't have the same pressure to BE other places.
(We finally settled on a Friday to get the latest slot possible in the day and the added side benefit was we got guests who made the effort to take time off to be there FOR us and the free day out/meal family declined so it was quite MSE really ;) )

BTW I did mine in six weeks from booking the registry office and venue to the actual day-I too have event planning experience but didn't want or need the endless planning-decided to get married-booked it-all the bells and whistles sitdown meal for fifty and done. I couldn't have stood all the months of planning would have driven me barmy.

Its a monday. In jan. Not exactly the busiest day of the year. I think I'm going to kick up a stink, its only because I had to go sort out someone elses wedding that I didn't book everything for mine. Oh well, I just thought if I got insurance and they refused to honour it I'd have legal protection on my side.

I much prefer working on other people's events as opposed to my own. Does anyone want to swop?
I run an event management company, I put on events, I go to events, if I don't know anything about events - its not worth knowing!

:heart2: When my brother was getting married they booked for a Friday and were then contacted to say that the registry office wasn't open as it was the holiday weekend. However they couldn't change things so a registrar had to come in specially on the Friday for them!
