HELP!!Want to claim JSA (No fixed abode and no c/o address)!!!

Help!!

I am new to all of this but here we go.

I have recently left an abusive relationship and moved to the other side of the country to start again. My problem is that I am currently staying in a local hotel but am quickly running out of money looking for a new home. I have tried to claim JSA but have been faced with the most unhelpful people I have ever met which have told me that I need a c/o address to claim. But having left my old home I refuse to ask my friends if I could use their address as a c/o, as they will eventually need to send me the letter I receive from the DWP and my old partner is likely to pressure them to tell him where I am. I am therefore left with the money I had saved for the 1st Months rent and deposit running out and the DWP being of absolutely no assistance what so ever.

So, there it is, any help would be very much appreciated.

You need to go to your local CAB and ask them to help you sort this situation out.

Will they not accept the hotels address?

You could try Women's Aid.

NFA people can use the JC as a care of address, but they are required to visit thejC dery regularly

Hi, you CAN claim JSA without a c/o address. IF you are no fixed abode and no care of address you can use the Jobcentre address. If you do that you are sometimes required to attend JC as a daily signer. Also they need to be able to contact you regarding your claim, and this is more difficult if they have no address for you.
