So the real benefit is sharing files between computers on my network and xboxes connected also on the network, my laptop has dlna built in would that help also. I have wanted to stream music video and photo's to my xbox before but found it rather slow and tedious.0

yes, this exactly where you should see a difference...you just need to ensure you have N-compatible wireless adapters/network cards in everything you want to connect to the network.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

But how are you using it ??
A lot of gaming mainly. 20mb modem going into it and 4 wired and 1 wireless. Its like heaven. Our gaming is sometimes LAN. CSS with bots after a drunken night out. AMAZING.
My G one at home is not so good and seems to slow the interweb down for some reason!
My wireless in my laptop is B/G. Which makes it even odder!0 -
Thanks for the replies so basically it just gives you increased wireless range i suppose the speed it can give you depends on what your isp gives you. I am with Bt and i get about 8mb as stated by Bt but really only get between 3 and 6mb depending on the time of day. I must be missing something as i cant really see the advantages at the moment!.
Thats because BT are rubbish. Virgin Cable are the best.0 -
