i'd throw one up her but she doesn't do it for me that much. Not many dark haired birds do to be honest.

I hope its not illegal - having had 4 children and various pets we left our back garden with 3 cats, 2 birds, goldfish, a hamster and a gerbil.

Now we only have a patio so I don't know what I'll do if my cat dies now!!

Well I live in a flat and have had this problem. Dear old Susie was taken to work with me on the bus and buried in the garden at work. She even had a pagan funeral (work mate was into wicca). We have huge grounds as the site was built on an old institution, we chose a spot under a huge oak tree. Till this day the boss still doesn't know.

I know exactly what you mean. We paid extra for individual cremation and I asked for the ashes back intending to scatter them. I didn't realise I would find it so hard to do and I too have difficulty coming to terms with the little box in the corner of our wardrobe.

Thanks Bossyboots, I can't tell you how much your post means to me!
