You wiill NOT get your mileage back. You will get the TAX on it back. Which bit of that don't you understand?

From the look of the figures you have submitted you HAVE got it back and more. It's not possible to check precisely as you don't say what other clims you have made. If the information that you have given is complete you have been given too much back.

I'm pretty confident that HMRC will be right and you have the correct refund.

If it's not right you will have to write to them explaining the situation. You are going to have to explain it a whole lot better than you have here though. Even if you are right and they are wrong they are not going to understand you.

I totally agree with dzug1, YOU on your own calculations arrived at £3244, you ONLY get back TAX on it at basic rate (20%) - if a basic rate tax payer, as I said in my other post you should have got £648.80 back, I do not understand how you have a figure of £1100+,
Also you do not get it back in your wages it is usually by cheque - direct from HMRC.
