According to the A+L website the £5 underfunding charge is debited immediately.
The £5 a day unauthorised overdraft fee is billed in arrears and pre notified.
I suspect you had an underfunding fee of £5, relating to an earlier month , debited to your account 15 days before the date of your statement.
When was the last month you paid in a total of £500?
Is it a Premier or Premier Direct Account?
Its a current premier account. And I have never paid £500 in. £50/£60 a month max (I did state this to them when setting the account up - hence why I have never been charged before). They have only charged me now as I didnt put anything into the account.0 -

It is a condition of the account that £500 a month is paid in otherwise there is an underfunding fee of £5 applied.
The reason you haven't been charged it before is because they have been fairly lenient with the appication of the fee giving a few months grace before imposing it.
It is not an appropriate account for you if you are not able to fund it with £500 p.m.
Your only course of action is to pay the charges (which are still increasing) close the account and then put in a complaint in writing.0 -
The premier account is only for people who can fund the account with £500 a month....when I was applying this was made very clear. I don't think you'll have any success at getting the £5 under funding charge back.
As for the other £75, these are overdraft fees and the only way you'll get these back is to send in your complaint and get in the queue to wait for the test case to be resolved.
