  • so a management company can refuse to send a 1st offer to the vendor if instructed ,fair enough (still sounds like a con!)
An offer of 66k by an investor was turned down making me think that the EA would know that the 1st offer refusal would be being used.
Would the EA not have been able to inform us of this so not to waste peoples time?

    Taff,

you can put any conditions you like in your offer . That includes no further viewings, & the property taken off the market.
Not on a repossession where the offer will have to be advertised.

I was assuming it already had been Running Horse, but good point
  • Buying a repossion seems too risky when you have got a buyer for your home and children in the equation!!!

its not the EA that will not put the offer forward it is the managment company that is working on behalf of the vendor.

Does anyone know if it is possible to set conditions if offer is accepted such as them having services reconnected before moving into the property? And also could we request that they do not accept other offers as we have children and really do not want to take the risk of getting near to completion and being gazumpt.

    Thanks
    Taff

I have never known a vendor of a repo to bend in any way.

we've told them 68200 but to not put the 1st one through just seems very wrong to me
Should have told them 67500 and said you were very happy with the first offer not being put through.
