How to convert youtube video to walkman

I have free software to convert youtube video to mp4 but when it is transferred to the Walkman NWZ-S639F it does not play. I imagine that there are various types of mp4 and it has to be a particular one for the walkman.Can anyone tell me how to easily do this please.

    There's no need to convert them; you can download mp4 files directly from YouTube using this method.

    They play just fine on my iPod Touch, so perhaps they'll play on your Walkman.
