How do I connect hi-fi speakers to my PC/Laptop?

I would like to be able to connect my PC/laptop to a set of hi-fi speakers.

Is there a connector which can easily do this? Otherwise how else can I do this?

Looks interesting - but ideally I want to avoid wireless gadgets, as in my experience the transmission quality varies. This is especially the case for the FM transmitter-type products.

Is there is simple connector which can attach the speaker to the PC/laptop?

You can just use a standard 3.5 inch stereo jack to whatever your hifi inputs are (probably RCA connections) and connect to the headphone out or line out if you have one. For better quality get an external usb sound card and use the line outs. Your not connecting speakers your connecting to your hifi amp. Otherwise you need to buy some powered speakers which have the amp built in.

You just need to get a stereo jack to phono plug, insert it into the output from your soundcard, using two phono cables plugged from the pc into your audio input on your hifi.
