New build - survey re-inspection

Evening all..

A question...

Buying a new build... Survey done all ok...

But... The house was at second fix when the survey was done, and the bank has asked for a re-inspection prior to completion..

Does anyone know what this re-inspection covers... Is it the same as the first survey?

How does it differ from the CML inspection?

Cheers

Do you mean survey or do you mean valuation inspection?

    Ah....

    I mean valuation....

The initial instruction was for the surveyor to do a valuation for mortgage purposes..

When he did this the house was at second fix, so no water, gas, electricity etc..

The valuation came back fine, but the surveyor said that he would like to do a re-inspection prior to completion.

As the cml was done and passed this week, I got them back to do this second check..

If they are only checking the house has the services conected and in a mortgageable state, I thought this was covered by the cml/nhbc sign off??
