claim on old account

Is it possible to claim on a old Egg loan account that eventually was settled through a debt collection agency ?, also the same hapended with my egg credit card.

I also had a lloydstsb card that was paid of years ago, can i still claim charges on that even though the account is long since dead.

I take it you mean PPI (payment protection insurance)?

For charges you can reclaim as far back as 6 years, for more information on claiming back charges only, the thread is here:

Your in the correct place here for the PPI reclaiming.

I was successful although through the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) lloyds tsb credit card that I taken out in Jan 2001, however many have still been successful with reclaiming from even earlier years.;)

So I say go for it.

Also just to say that it makes no difference if the account is still active or settled, and if with a debt agency etc.
