Council Car Park Signage
Hi All
Can anyone help me i received a fine from denbigh council for overstaying a period. My question is does the council have to legally state on there signage the amount of penalty for offenses as there boards do not. I received a fine for £50 but there is no mention of penalty costs on there boards it just says "A penalty may be inccured"
Many thanks
Robert

No, they don't... in much the same way as yellow lines don't have to have the fine printed on them.
It's assumed that the visual deterrents (signs and markings) would stop people parking contrary to the rules so they won't have to worry about any fines.0
