sounds like a typical richer sounds ploy, they only have the more expensive one in stock, people hate wasting a trip so they buy it anyway

I used to live right next to a store in Plymouth and got there a good few hours before opening time at the start of the bigger sales, it's amazing that they didnt have stock of advertised cheap stuff, only more expensive, and on numerous occasions i was given the excuse (stock will come in later, or if i came in later), stock was sold earlier!
    money saving my @rse.
I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

Yip I've heard so much BS from them, i used to go to their shop and wait for them to open and still never got any of the "bargains". The daft thing about this is that they dont really need to do this as there stuff is real cheap but it really p's me off when shops advertise stock they dont have.
You cant take the trousers off an elephant!
  • I agree. A few items of hi-fi in their shops are quite cheap. Everything else - 90% - is no cheaper than anywhere else, and perhaps more expensive. It's a clever trick.

In my own experiences of dealing with Richer Sounds I've never found ANYTHING cheaper elsewhere - let alone 90% of stuff!

If you really do find anything advertised cheaper elsewhere then they'll match that price and beat it by anything from £5 up to £100.

I can't comment on this DVD player for £10 deal, but I've been using them for the last 6 or 7 years and haven't had any complaints yet.

I have also been using richer sounds for years and heartily recommend to all, their service is unsurpassable. I recently purchased a plasma from them which was £600 cheaper than comet and the assistance I had getting the item into my car (was too big to get in with packaging) was fantastic, they bubble wrapped the loose item and then helped me secure it with cable ties to my back seat. I even took the time to write a letter of gratitude to their head office commending their staff.

As for the items that they have in stock, a quick phone call to any of their stores will reserve you most of their items, except from when they have their amazing open box sale, which understandably is first come first served.

They are no fly by night company and the warranties that they offer are second to none !!!!

And no I do not work for them !!!

Richer Sounds get my vote too.

Far better than the wabs who try to sell you crap at overinflated prices in Currys and Dixons. I have had loads of bad experiences with these last two companies and it seems that they don't give a damn about you once they have your money.

    Richer Sounds are the opposite.

I've bought from there - a £14.99 multi-region DVD player in their last clearance. Works great.

I queued with some friends & we all got what we wanted = no probs - plenty of stock.
