BT Rep - Crazy Email Limits

I have been on the maximum BT broadband package for several years, am now out of contract and a helpful BT sales rep worked out a package that effectively meant that I can get BT Vision for the same overall cost. Part of this meant I downgraded to Option 2, the rep looked at my broadband useage and advised that I was not using enough gb to warrant the Option 3. Did the deal but unbeknown to me the Option 2 is limited to 5 email addresses, my family have 7 between us and found myself being asked to delete two of these accounts.
Why is it limited to 5 ?, seems crazy when Yahoo, Google etc offer unlimited.
Upshot is I have cancelled the BT Vision, opted back to Option 3 (but made sure not tied into contract) and will spend the next week or so transferring my email details to other accounts before moving away from BT completely.
