My other half has tried to claim a missold PPI against A&L - She sent them the standard template letter, yesterday they replied saying she never had PPI cover and if we disagree we should write to the Obudsman.

Thing is we have the original copy of the loan detailing the PPI cover amount and payments, interest etc etc

Should I send them another letter with a copy of the original agreement pointing out that she did indeed have PPI or does it need to go to the Ombudsman?

    Hello and welcome.

I was reading another post like this one the other day.

Yes write back and send a "copy" of the agreement, (do not send them the original), and ask them to continue with the complaint, good luck, please keep us posted.;)

I should think that with them receiving this, they will have to investigate, and the 8 weeks should still stand as from the date of the letter you already sent, if you hear nothing by the 8 weeks, then move on to the ombudsman.

    Good luck.
