Considering how they were given to alcoholics around here who sometimes used them as taxis I will be glad if they become more discerning! Saying that, those who are NOT in that category and who do have a genuine disability should get this benefit.

i havent notice the date until you posted .
i havent created the petition ijust received an email from benefit and work forum so you should ask them why indeed the submission date so late ?

anyway the issue is still here if we keep quiet then one day we will not received any more money that we are entitled to.

You say that as if the Tories are known for their welfare policies! At least Labour have brought a lot of benefits in (while not enough by any stretch of the imagination). The Conservatives are more likely to tell disabled people to 'get off their backsides' instead of look at it with any ounce of humanity.

treu labour bought some but now are taking some back off .. DLA was introduced by the Tory .
However, it was claimed by New labour that people will be better off on ESA than on incapacity benefit. the result are a lot different, lot of people are worse off , move to JSA, have to appeal etc..... . However i am nto arguuing which one is better if we keep quiet all this benefit ,will disappear leaving us with nothing to live on !

Yeah, that's true. I'll never forget how the Tories treated unemployed people and particularly single parents last time they were in power though. Benefits are a liftline for these people, so to me it's a scary thought them getting in power.

But as usual it's the better of two evils though with both parties!
