    Hate you lol xxxx
  • Mine was a Sallie Bee, size 12 and I am a size 12 and it fitted perfectly, however I am aware they are designers for the fuller figure.

I bought a size 22 but normaly size 18 only had to have the hem taken up and adjusted at the bust, a colleague at work was going about her dress being a 16 and she only takes 12, but did explain what happened to me, and when she got it, it fits with only a small adjustment for the bust, but I did get told elsewhere that the dresses go up by inch size rather than standard dress size - if that makes sense.

I'm a 20-22 and bought a 24. It fits like a glove, though I'd prefer it a little looser (just personal preference). Hopefully when I've got my "suck me all in" underwear I'll feel ok about it. I have 1 month left to diet but since I'm not active and taking opiates, chances are it's doubtful that I'll lose any weight TBH. Don't get me wrong, it's fine if I don't, but I'd prefer it if I did LOL
If my typing is pants or I seem partcuarly blunt, please excuse me, it physically hurts to type. :wall: If I seem a bit random and don't make a lot of sense, it may have something to do with the voice recognition software that I'm using!
  • Mine is an Alfred Angelo so it makes me feel better to know that other people have had to get 2 sizes bigger than they actually are.
  • I am an average 16 normally and the dress i am getting is an 18, it is the same size as the one i was trying in the shop which fitted like a glove - the double corset built in helps! But when they did my measurements the order form was saying i needed a 20! We all sat there slightly confused as the 18 fitted so well and said as i am going swimming every morning and going to the gym to lose the weight go for the 18 (slightly risky but I have already lost a few inches since it was ordered and it doesnt arrive unitl December so have a while still to go)

I really do think on who the designer is and what design of dress you like (I hope that makes sense!)

At the end of the day it is only a number and if the rest of your wardrobe says one size and the dress says another you can work out which you are likely to be day to day.

Dont strees ladies you will all look beautiful x

What to join the skinny bride club?? :D
I picked my dress because it gives me curves I don't have :rotfl:
:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:
  • Mine's from a local independant shop who do bridalwear, but is from the ballgown section! I was well chuffed to be a size 6, normally a size 8 in dresses! Didn't have to have any alterations apart from a little bit off the length and straps shortened, looks like it could have been made for me!
