As the seamstress is linked to the shop and not independant she has charged me a whopping........wait for it........£30!

That is to take in the waist and remove the loops for the shoulder straps.

I was quite apprehensive about the costs as some stores i had looked in quoted from £100 and it went up more the more you had altered.

Wow, what a bargain you got there!

Do you mind me asking what make you have? If you don't want to shout it on the board, you could PM me if you like. Or tell me to pish off, take your pick lol! :D

    What make is yours?

It's got to depend on the make, as that's some people are normal size, one size up, 2 sizes up etc....isn't it a pain!

I think some designer ones are like this, my partner was bridesmaid for her best friend & they had Alfred Angelo dresses, she's an average size 16 & had to get a 20! She wasn't too happy, but was a bit better when the others had to get bigger sizes too - I really can't inderstand why they'd do this, surely they would do better making them bigger & making women feel a size smaller!

i wont say exactly which one incase a certain someone comes on here and has a nose (but i have said before...so if you do a search you will find it i expect lol)

to be fair all the dresses i tried on were either a 14 or a 16 and they all fit...tried one 18 and it was too big.....but i dont know what make all the others were so that doesnt help you much lol

Its an Alfred Angleo, I didnt even bother looking at the size, I just assumed it wouldnt fit but my mate told me to try it. It was her who pointed the label out later.

Needs letting out slightly on the waist but only a little bit, iv lost 10lbs since i last tried it on so im hoping it will be looser when I go to try it again next weekend.

    Fingers crossed.
