Dongle ID and uses

Hi,

I am being offered a 3 Internet dongle which I would like to use my iPhone o2 sim in for browsing.

Two questions:
1. Can sites see any info on the particular dongle because this has been used on sites I want to join and if they recognise the dongle then I may have alot of hassle proving I'm not my mate.
2. I know you can unlock the 3 dongle (eBay sell this inf0) so does this allow me to use the o2 sim?

Sites will identify you on the IP address. Your mate's IP address would come from the 3 network. You would get one from O2 so you will not be seen as the same person.
