How do I switch?

Sorry to sound silly but just wondering how I go about switching suppliers? :rolleyes:

I am currently with EON, price protection until Oct this year and have looked at U switch and can get a cheaper deal with NPower.

If I apply through U switch, do they change it all over for me or will I need to phone Eon to cancel and then NPower to apply?

Just apply with Npower (either direct or through Uswitch). You don't need to tell your current supplier as this is all done automatically. Have a look at step 5 on this page: http://www.uswitch.com/gas-electricity/how-to-switch-gas-and-electricity/

Remember to check the cashback website for any cashback available - my parents got £40 from Npower when they switched earlier this year.

Don't go through comparison sites, it adds about 6 weeks onto the switching process.
