Stroller Advice

Hello,

Wonder if any on the parents on here can help me. I've a travel system for my four month old baby, but i'm fed up with the weight of it - it makes me cross!

So i've decided that i'm going to get a stroller which should help me get out and about. Only problem is that i'm really short! Can anyone suggest a stroller that would be good value for money - that has height adjustable handles?

Thanks for your help x

mamas and papas have adjustable handles so do some silver cross but they are expensive, how tall are you im 5"3 and i got a basic stroller from mothercare and was lent over the stroller when pushing
:xmastree:Is loving life right now,yes I am a soppy fool who believes in the simple things in life :xmastree:
  • I am tall and the quinny zapp is way too low for me - the zapp doesn't recline though so not ideal for 4-month old - however the petite star zia is EXACTLY the same and does recline - light, small, folds tiny

or a good old maclaren, they seem to suit anyone, unbeatable quality IMO (have had a few buggies :o )
  • Mind you if you can affford it, a Bugaboo Bee has adjustable height, yes they're not cheap but they're good VALUE as they re-sell for a lot, and there's always ebay!
  • I have a Zia and I'm 5 foot 4 and find it a tiny bit low for me so probably good for shorter people. Check out your local pram shop/Mothercare/John Lewis and do some test drives, it's the way you'll find out what's comfy for you.

how about a Mams and papas luna. they have an adjustable handle. i'm 5ft 4 and hubby and 6ft 4 and we can both comfortablely push it. also it folds down really compact. it is very lightweight, very easy to push. i bought it becasue i had a M&P pliko and although i loved it in everyway as baby got older i found it very heavy.

Thank you for all your suggestions - i'll be taking the hubby to toys r us this weekend to have a look. I'm a bit gutted though, as I thought i'd get a MacLaren, but the handles are way too high up and non adjustable.

I like the look of the luna though, does anyone know if M&P supply strollers though any other shops or do I have to go there?

    Thanks again x

I have this: CLICK from babies r us, it suits both me at 5 foot 1 and DH at 6 foot, it lays flat and is light, and best of all for me fits on my Ford KA tiny boot.

I would say it's good value for the £50, it's done us every day for my now 3 month old, he loves being in it, it's still got loads of life left in it (something I was dubious about when we bought it at £50). We have it in the old colour scheme not that one.

bought my luna second hand. but when i googled it for information i found loads of places who sold it. i think argos, great universal, ebay and poss babies r us sell it.

i've got the lime green one which i have to say is just lush. but i've friends who have had the orange , azure and the truffle colour ones and they are all really nice colours.

I have a Maclaren Techno XT - it definately has adjustable handles!! Would recommend it over & over again - I've used a fair amount of pushchairs/travel systems atc, and think the techno XT is the best!! Mine is now 3 years old though...so they may have updated/changed since then...but check - look at Kiddicare.com - they were reasonable when I bought mine from them!!

Edit - just looked at Kiddicare - is £170, but worth it!! Will try the link (not great at this...)
