Welcome Finance

Hi
Can anyone advise?
I have been offered a full refund plus statutory interest of my ppi by welcome. But due the case already been passed to the FOS to look into I declined the offer. Welcome have since written to me thanking me for accepting the offer which I wrote back and disputed. They have since wrote to me with a copy of the acceptance form - neither signature on the form is mine. It's a completely different signature. They have also advised me that they have informed the FOS of my decision to accept.
Can anyone advise if they have had a similar situation with Welcome regarding this and advise whats the next best step.

Many thanks

    Hi Uniqua

Have you kept copies of your letters of when you originally refused the offer?

I would contact the FOS on this by ringing them, telling them this updated and make them aware of your letter of acceptance you received from Welcome.
Also tell them the signature is not yours either, ask in this situation what you should do.
If you ring the FOS Consumer helpline, they should be able to advise you on what to do on this matter.

Good luck and please keep us posted.;)

WFS have a bad habit of forging signatures. Report them to the OFT and make sure the FOS know about their actions.
  • Hi

    Thanks for all your advice.

I have kept copies of all me letters to Welcome and still have the form they asked me to sign if I wanted to accept!

I have confirmed with the FOS that I haven't agreed Welcome's offer and have wrote to Welcome to confirm the above. I also have informed FOS that the signatures on the document aren't mine.

Wait and see what happens next.

    Thanks

    Uniqua
