Hi I found this site where they are a lot cheaper http://www.ghdfactorystore.org/
has anyone used them before - are they genuine GHD's?
    thanks

If your unsure, the answer is normally that they are fake- the way to tell is to go to the official GHD site and look along the list of offical sellers, they have a box you can type addresses into and it will straight away tell you if they are genuine or not. But as it goes, the website looks dodgy- GHD wouldn't be the type of people to sell via a factory store IMO.

That will be a fakes site as the only the official GHD site has GHD in the address, my post from last night shows you can get the limited edition pink for £105 and they also have the mini ones.

I used girlznight.co.uk and there is a 5% code off hot deals put it in and the straightners come up as £85.03 genuine ghd, holgrammed, guaranteed for 2 years, make sure you register them on ghd and any probs they sort it out for you, at the hairdressers the other day they were £119:eek:http://www.girlznight.co.uk/
PB0309GN code to put it although some of them say 10% and 7.5% when you get to check out it says 5% but still ghd mark IV for £85 bargain, well worth it they send with fedex so you are not going to have to wait with the postal strike for ages

Im still trying to decide do I get GHDS again but that is a good price!

Ive had 2 pairs over the years both went after the 1 year guarentee so got the Babyliss ones but still keep thinking that GHDs are so tempting!

As others have pointed out they come with a two year manufacturer warranty.

Regardless of that the price of these things would say to me they are expected to last longer than a year, so you could have gone back to whomever you purchased them from and asked for a refund/repair/replacement under the sale of goods act.

That's a shame looks like its expired, keep an eye on the discount codes and voucher thread as they seem to add new ones all the time.

GHD are fantastic when it comes to replacing faulty goods, even after the warranty has expired. I've had a pair replaced and one repaired, both out of warranty. They are one of the best companies for customer service I have experienced. Don't chuck them if they break, get in touch with GHD, they are MOST obliging :)

Totally different from the way I was treated, mine were about 18 months old when they went on me. Sent them off to GHD, they sent a letter to say they were unrepairable and to give them a call.

Basically there was nothing they would do as I did not have a receipt to say when they were purchased. The lady I spoke to was rude, sarcastic and very unhelpful, oh sorry forgot to add she did offer me 5% discount off a new pair from them!!!!!

I would never buy GHD's again, I think they are very over priced. There are other straighteners out there that are just as good and cost a lot less.
